Our commitment to an online store everyone can use, and how to tell us about any barrier.
TrachtHouse wants everyone to be able to browse and shop our store with ease, including people who use assistive technologies.
Our approach
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. Our website is built with:
- keyboard-accessible menus, search and cart, with visible focus states and a “skip to content” link;
- a logical heading structure and labelled navigation landmarks and breadcrumbs;
- text alternatives for product and content images;
- color contrast chosen for readability and layouts that work when you zoom in;
- respect for your device’s reduced-motion setting.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We review new pages and features as we add them, and some third-party content, such as payment forms or embedded media, may not be fully under our control.
